Down-flow Rotary Kiln:

Suitable for low moisture, high volatile materials, the down-flow operation mode is commonly used in waste incineration systems. It offers advantages such as lower temperature at the kiln head, simplified arrangement for feed and air intake, and convenient operation and maintenance. This type of kiln includes control measures to prevent melting slag from high calorific value waste.

Counter-flow Rotary Kiln:

Designed for waste materials with higher moisture content and low flammability, the counter-flow rotary kiln is ideal for sludge drying purposes. It requires higher flue gas temperature and longer contact time between flue gas and materials to effectively dry the material and release volatile water.
